Guestline PMS: Get started as a revenue manager

Learn how to manage rates, availability, restrictions and revenue performance in Guestline PMS using the key tools available to revenue managers.

Written by Xanthe Jackson

Guestline Rezlynx Property Management System (PMS) is a cloud-based platform that brings together rate management, distribution and reporting in one place. This guide covers the key areas you'll need as a revenue manager, with links to detailed articles for each.

⚠️Important: Your property may have customised settings and permissions per role that affect what features you can see, which is managed by your Administrator.

Log in for the first time

Before logging in for the first time, your administrator must create your account and provide you with login credentials. We recommend setting up Passkey Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to ensure security for your site and guests’ information. This helps protect guest and property data.

Manage rates and pricing

Rate management controls how your property is priced across room types and rate plans. The Rate Price Overview provides a central location for reviewing, updating and comparing selling rates across multiple dates and room types.

🤓 Tip: Review future pricing regularly to identify gaps in strategy and ensure rates remain competitive during periods of high demand.

Control availability using restrictions

Restrictions allow you to manage when rates can be sold and which channels can offer availability. Applying restrictions helps maximise revenue opportunities while maintaining control over inventory distribution.

Manage overbooking settings

Overbooking allows you to sell additional inventory above your physical room stock to help offset cancellations and no-shows. When used correctly, overbooking can improve occupancy and revenue performance.

Monitor revenue performance

Guestline PMS includes a range of reports and dashboards that help you measure performance, identify trends and make informed pricing decisions. Regular reporting supports effective forecasting and revenue optimisation.

Continue your learning

Once you are comfortable using the core revenue management features, explore these additional resources to expand your knowledge and improve your revenue strategy.

🤓 Tip: Schedule regular reviews of rates, restrictions and reports to ensure your revenue strategy remains aligned with market demand and property performance.
