Guestline PMS: Get started with Standard C&B bookings

Steps to log in, navigate Guestline PMS, and use Standard Conference and Banqueting (C&B) to manage functions, rate plans, and function types.

Written by Xanthe Jackson

Guestline Standard Conference and Banqueting (C&B) is a module within Guestline Rezlynx Property Management System (PMS) that provides a streamlined way to manage function bookings, from enquiry through to event day. This guide covers the key areas you'll use day-to-day, with links to detailed articles for each.

⚠️Important: Your property may have customised settings and permissions per role that affect what features you can see, which is managed by your Administrator.

Log in and navigate

Before logging in for the first time, your administrator must create your account and provide you with login credentials. If your administrator has enabled Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), you'll be prompted to set this up when you first log in.

Function Diary

The function diary is your central view of all C&B bookings across your property. From here, you can see which function rooms are in use on any given day, create new functions directly in the diary, and open existing bookings to update or manage them.

Manage functions

Functions can be created via the Search/Create/Edit screen or directly from the diary. Once a function is created, you can search for it by reference, name, or date range. Cancellations are processed directly from within the function booking, with options to apply a charge where required.

Rate plans

Rate plans define the pricing for your function spaces and services. Setting up rate plans ahead of your events streamlines the sales process, allowing costs to be applied quickly and accurately when creating or confirming a function. Rate plans can include final adjustments to increase or decrease a rate by a monetary or percentage value.

Function types

Function types categorise the events held at your property, such as weddings, conferences, or training days. They are selected at the point of creating a function and can be used to filter and organise reporting, including the Guest List report.

Set up your function space

Function layouts define the seating arrangements available for your function rooms, helping staff set up spaces correctly. Function sheets provide a detailed summary of an event and its requirements, ready to distribute to your team on the day.

Continue your learning

Once you are comfortable with the core Standard C&B features, explore additional resources to deepen your Guestline knowledge.
