This article introduces the Rate Price Overview with Pivot tables, which allows users to identify their selling rate by room type and rate plan, per day, all in one place – with the additional of Pivot views which provide an even clearer understanding of how rates are structured.
The new Rate Price Overview feature enables users to view their selling rate by room type and rate plan, per day, all in one place with the ability to also see:
Restrictions, set both within the PMS & Distribution
Price variances, set both within the PMS & Distribution
Each channels selling price
The breakdown of the Rate Plan
Links to the various Rate Plan setup that make up the Rate
Activation
You do not need to complete any actions to activate this feature this will be completed by Guestline on your behalf.
The Rate Price Overview combines key features of Distribution's Rates Per Day, Rooms Per Day, and Restriction Grid which will be retired in the future.
New customers
This will be activated for all new sites by default from March 2025.
Existing customers
All existing customers will have the Rate Price Overview with Pivot Table rolled out in the coming months.
How to view the Rate Price Overview
⚠️ Important: You can only access the Rate Price overview if you have the user permissions to do so, if you do not please contact your admin user.
To access the Rate Price Overview, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Rezlynx, System, Rates and then select Rate Plans. Select Rate Price Overview in the top left of the screen.
New Customers can also access via: Rezlynx, Distribution Hub, Rates and then select Rate Price Overview .
Complete any of the following filters at the top of the screen to return the information you require:
Starting from today - Select the date range for the report
Occupants by Adult and Child - Select the numbers from the drop-down
Rate Plan - Multi-selection drop-down
Room Type - Multi-selection drop-down
Select View Options to select a Grouping Order to alter the way the information in the grid will be displayed. For example, selecting Room-Rate-Channel, will show Room Types, followed by available Rates and per Channel.
Results are automatically updated and displayed within an interactive grid on screen, or you can click the circular arrow to refresh the page at any time.

The Rate Price Overview displays in a grid format and is interactive to provide further insight into the data. Select the arrow > icon to expand the information boxes to show more data and pricing. Once a blue cell is selected an additional section or “draw” view opens from the right of the screen showing a summary of the selected rate.

Rate Summary - Price Modifiers
The Price Modifier shows the base price compared to the final price charged to the guest, including any exception pricing, applied to the Flex Table and a further break down of the Rate Plan, including rate rule parameters, product rule and supplements.
You can click on any of the hyperlinks to see where the value is set within the system. If Children have been included in the filters when running the overview, a breakdown will show the split between Adults and Children. Any Final Adjustment also configured will show here.
Price Breakdown for Stay
A Price Breakdown can be viewed for a specific date range by using the blue set arrival date and set departure date icons which appear when you hover over the blue text cells.
The Price Breakdown allows you to easily identify how the rate plan is calculated on each day of the date range selected.
Channel Rates
Channel rates can be displayed using View Options and selecting group order Channel-Rate-Room. This allows quick comparison to identify any discrepancies.
Restrictions
Restrictions can be displayed using View Options and selecting Show Restrictions.
The “draw” view from the right hand side of the screen then show the restrictions in place, as well as displaying what restrictions are configured, including those set in Rezlynx and Distribution. If a channel has restrictions applied against it, these will also show. The key at the bottom of the grid helps you identify what restriction has been applied:
The rate price overview grid also indicates rate plans that are restricted due to:
a rate access or promotion code in place
length of stay pricing configured
Rate Plan Availability
Using the View Options, you can select Show Unavailable Rates which allows you to easily identify why a rate plan is unavailable.
Troubleshooting
The report will not remember previously set View options: You will need to add the view options each time you view the report.
Distribution restrictions: Restrictions set in Distribution are displayed within this report including those set in ‘Set Restrictions’.
Dual Roomlynx: Dual Roomlynx sites (properties who have multiple accounts for one channel) are not currently supported by the Rate Price Overview. Only the master property will be shown.
