This feature allows the rate to be altered automatically depending on the lead in time, occupancy or rooms sold and day of the week.
The Rate Plan Variances can be added either when building the rate plan or at any time after its creation, and can be removed at any time.
⚠️Important: These variances will only affect Rezlynx, and will not affect rates that are connected to Guestline Distribution and Channels. If you wish to have them on the channels these have to be created again in Distribution Hub using Price Variances.
Add Rate Plan Variances
To add Rate Price Variances to a rate plan, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Rezlynx, System, Rates then Rate Plans.
Select the rate plan from the left-hand menu.
Select the Variances tab at the top of the rate plan page.
Click Add.
Within the Room Type Variance Values window, complete the following fields as required:
Choose the Type: Occupancy percentage or Rooms Sold.
⚠️Important: All rules on a single Rate Plan must be all of type ‘Occupancy %’ or ‘Rooms Sold’ and cannot be mixed.
For example, if you are using Price Variances as a percentage and if you wish to use the Final adjustment within the rate plan this must also be a percentage.From/To: Determines the range of Occupancy percentage or Rooms Sold that needs to be in place for the rule to take effect.
Lead In From/To: Determines the Lead-in time from point of Booking to Arrival Date for which the rule should take effect.
DOW: Day of Week Pattern – Which days should be effected by the change in rate. Tick Select to select all days of the week.
⚠️Important: The system will prevent any overlapping rules being created, so ensure you add them in date order. E.g. Monday, then Tuesday and Wednesday. Not Monday, Wednesday and Tuesday.
Adjustment Type: Monetary or Percentage.
Room Type Values: Determines the value of the variances. A discount can be achieved by inserting a negative sign.
Once set as required, click OK.
Click Save.
Edit or remove Rate Plan Variances
To remove Rate Price Variances from a rate plan, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Rezlynx, System, Rates then Rate Plans.
Select the rate plan from the left-hand menu.
Select the Variances tab at the top of the rate plan page.
Select Edit or Remove to the right-hand side of the variance to be edited or removed.
Once edited or removed as required, select Save.
