Guestline PMS: Get started with users and system security

Steps to create and manage users, set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and configure Trusted Browsers in Guestline PMS.

Written by Xanthe Jackson

Guestline Rezlynx Property Management System (PMS) provides tools to create and manage user accounts, configure access permissions, and apply security settings across your property. This guide covers the key areas administrators need to manage users and security in Guestline PMS, with links to detailed articles for each.

⚠️Important: You must have administrator-level permissions to create users and manage security settings. If you do not, contact your on-site Administrator.

Log in for the first time

Before logging in for the first time, your administrator must create your account and provide you with login credentials. We recommend setting up Passkey Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to ensure security for your site and guests’ information. This helps protect guest and property data.

Create and manage users

You can create and manage user accounts from the Guestline Home platform. Each user requires a unique email address or username, and permissions can be configured at the individual level to control access to specific features.

Set up Multi-Factor Authentication

MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring users to verify their identity beyond a password. Passkey MFA is the recommended method for Guestline PMS, providing a more secure and convenient alternative to one-time passcodes.

Manage Trusted Browsers

Trusted Browsers provide a second factor of authentication for users who do not have MFA enabled. Administrators can approve or reject browsers, configure Secure Mode, and monitor browser activity across your property.

System security best practices

Applying security best practices helps protect your property's data and guest information. These steps reduce the risk of unauthorised access across your Guestline PMS system.
