Guestline Rezlynx: Edit user permissions and block or unblock users

You can edit and update platforms users’ access rights/permissions to provide or restriction access to different sections within the system.

You can also temporarily block a user from accessing the system - for example, due to extended leave - and unblock them when they return.

Edit User Permissions

⚠️ Important: You can only edit user permissions, if you have Multi-Factor Authentication enabled and user permissions to do so, if you don’t, please contact your Admin User. Due to data protection, we cannot edit user permissions for you.

To update or edit user permissions, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the platform home page or use the link here: https://home.eu.guestline.app, click Users.

    🤓 Tip: If you are already logged into Rezlynx, click on your initials in the top right corner and select My Guestline Account to navigate to the Home Page.

  2. Locate the user from the list, then click the Pencil icon to update/edit.

    📌 Note: If the user cannot be located, navigate to User Set (System, then select User Set Up) up within Rezlynx to review their access.

  3. Once within the users’ profile, click the down arrow to expand the menus. You can then update the users’ permissions in the following ways:

Users
gives the user access to Read (View), Create, Update Permissions or Delete users within the platform. All users should be able to Read.

When seeking to set Update Permissions,

the following requirements must be met:

Person making the changes:

  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) must be enabled.

  • Must have the appropriate permissions to manage users.

User whose permissions are being updated:

  • MFA must be enabled.

If these requirements are not met, user permissions cannot be edited for the user.

When seeking to set Update Permissions,

the following requirements must be met:

  • Must have the appropriate permissions to manage users.

  • MFA must be enabled.

If these requirements are not met, user permissions cannot be edited for the user.

  • MFA must be enabled.

If these requirements are not met, user permissions cannot be edited for the user.

Insights

gives the user access to Read (View) or Export Data from your Insights Reporting application.

PMS

gives the user access to PMS(Rezlynx) and details the sites the user has access to, as well as the users level of access (site role) for each site.

Slide the Managed User toggle on


Select Add

to add the site, and select the Site Role (level of permissions).

For hotel groups with Group Level access rights – select Group Roles drop down and select as required.

Click Bin to remove specific site(s).

to remove all PMS access.

Distribution

​gives the user access to Distribution Hub (Roomlynx) with the permissions level of Read Only (only allows you to view information) or Property Admin (allows you to view and edit settings).

4. Click Update Permissions to save the changes made.


Block or Un-block users

You can also temporarily block an SSO user from accessing the system - for example, due to extended leave - and unblock them when they return. Due to data protection, we cannot block or unblock users for you.

To block or unblock a user, follow the steps below:

📌 Note: You can only block or unblock a user, if you have Multi-Factor Authentication enabled and user permissions to do so, if you don’t, please contact your Admin User. Guestline will automatically block users who have not accessed the system within the last 90 days to enhance site security.

  1. Navigate to the platform home page or use the link here: https://home.eu.guestline.app, click Users.

    🤓 Tip: If you are already logged into Rezlynx, click on your initials in the top right corner and select My Guestline Account to navigate to the Home Page.

  2. Locate the user from the list, then click the Pencil icon to update/edit.

  3. Once within the users’ profile, under the Password reset option is the Block section. Slide the feature toggle right to block or slide to the left to unblock the user.

  4. Then reset the users password.
