The Trusted Browser feature provides a practical solution to a common challenge in hospitality: maintaining robust security whilst accommodating operational realities. Rather than requiring staff to use mobile phones for authentication codes or install software on shared computers, Trusted Browsers treat approved browsers as a second authentication factor.

Find out more about Trusted Browser in our overview and setup article.

After Trusted Browsers has been set up for your property, you can approve or reject individual browser requests.

Approve or Reject individual Trusted Browsers

To review a browser at your property, Admin users should follow the steps below:

  1. Ask the user to log in via Platform Home Page (home.eu.guestline.app) on a PC or device they’ll use for system access.

📌 Note: The user must log in using an internet browser – for example, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari - or the Rezlynx installed Browser and should not have MFA enabled on their SSO user account.

  2. During log in, a Browser Approval Required pop-up is shown. The user must:

    • Provide you with the randomly generated browser name, shown in bold.

    • Keep this pop-up open whilst you complete the next steps.

📌 Note : If this window is closed, just restart the process from Step 1.

  3. As the Admin, log in to Guestline Rezlynx PMS on your own device and navigate to System, Tools, then Admin Panel.

  4. Select Trusted Browsers from the left-hand menu.

  5. In the Browsers tab, search for and select the browser to view its details.

  6. In the details panel, check the following information:

    • Browser name to ensure you're approving the correct browser.

    • User details match those of users on-site who are accessing the system.

    • Tenants being accessed are correct.

📌 Note: For multi-tenant users, review each Site ID individually.

  7. Click the pencil icon to rename the browser based on the device. For example, Events laptop – Chrome.

  8. Select Manage Access, then choose :

    • Approve – to approve the browser as a Trusted Browser for future log ins.

    • Reject – to block the browser from future log in attempts. If you click this by mistake, simple restart the process from Step 1.

  9. Click Save Changes .

  10. If you selected Approve, ask the user to click Verify Again within the Browser Approval Required pop-up. Any user within the property can now log in from this Trusted Browser. This approval process is only required once per browser.

⚠️ Important: To ensure a secure and smooth experience, make sure to keep your browser updated with the latest features and security patches, and that your Admin regularly reviews access.

Log in with a Trusted Browser

Log in as usual via Platform Home Page (home.eu.guestline.app). You won't need to verify this browser again unless an admin disables it.

Disable a Trusted Browser

You can reject the previously approved browser. Next time they try to log in, they'll be rejected. When a browser is rejected, this will not automatically log users out. T

hey can still operate for as long as their session is active. The next time they try to log in, they'll be rejected.
