Guestline GuestStay: Guest Facing Report

You can use the Guest Facing report to review how your GuestStay products are performing, in a few simple steps.

This functionality is available subject to your GuestStay plan.

Overview of the report

The Guest Facing report makes it easier to understand how your Guest Facing products are performing. Track how guests are engaging with digital registration prior to check-in and their checkout journeys via their own devices or using a kiosk. Customise your viewing experience by switching between percentage and a total count. The report can also be exported to CSV on your device.

The report can also be used to review DBM metrics in another tab.


How to run the report

⚠️Important: All users can access this report.

To run the report, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Rezlynx, Reports, Sales & Marketing, and then select Guest Facing.

    📌Note: If you have DBM you will need to select the GuestStay tab at the top of the report.

  2. When the report is opened, data will start to auto-populate the report.

  3. To modify the reports, select from the onscreen options, including:

    • Date - Click on the date in the top right to select specific dates, or choose one of the pre-set filters.

    • % Conversion - Select this to show the results as a percentage.

    • Totals - Select this to show the results as a count.

    • Export - Select this option to download the report output to your device.

    • Property - If applicable, you may also have the option to select other properties within the group.

  4. Once you have set your reports as required, the report auto-updates and the data is displayed on screen.


Report output

In the report output on screen, you will see the following metrics:

Digital registrations

Use the buttons in the top right of the chart to select:

  • % Conversion: Shown as a percentage, indicating the portion of arrivals that completed the digital registration.

  • Totals: Shown as a count, indicating the total number of arrivals that completed the digital registration.

Hover over specific dates on the chart to see a summary of the data for that day. Above the chart, the daily average provides you with a snapshot of the data for the selected time period.

Check-ins

⚠️Important: This metric is available only for kiosk customers.

Use the buttons in the top right of the chart to select:

  • % Conversion: Shown as a percentage, indicating the portion of arrivals that checked in using the kiosk.

  • Totals: Shown as a count, indicating the total number of arrivals that checked in using the kiosk.

Hover over specific dates on the chart to see a summary of the data for that day. Above the chart, the daily average provides you with a snapshot of the data for the selected time.

Check-outs

Use the buttons in the top right of the chart to select:

  • % Conversion: Shown as a percentage, indicating the portion of departures that checked out using their own device or the kiosk.

  • Totals: Shown as a count, indicating the total number of departures that checked out using their own device or the kiosk.

Hover over specific dates on the chart to see a summary of the data for that day. Above the chart, the daily average provides you with a snapshot of the data for the selected time period by either percentage or numerical value.

Upsells & Upgrades

⚠️Important: This metric is available only for GuestStay Premium customers as part of GuestStay Plans.

Use this report to learn how your upsells and upgrades are performing, with metrics including:

  • Summary cards showing the total revenue generated from product upsells and room upgrades in GuestStay. Use the buttons in the top right of the chart to change view. Hover over specific dates on the chart to see a summary of the data for that day. Above the chart, the average figures provide a snapshot of the data for the selected time period by either percentage or value.

  • Upsells & Upgrades chart, with toggle options between revenue and count, displaying day by day the value generated. Hover over specific dates on the chart to see a summary of the data for that day. Above the chart, the daily average provides you with a snapshot of the data for the selected time period.

  • Top sold upsells is a horizontal bar chart showing the top 5 sold products, with toggle options between revenue and count. Hover over the chart to see further information summaries.

  • Upsells and Upgrades pie chart, with the number of upsells and upgrades by status - confirmed, pending or rejected. Use the buttons in the top right of the chart and hover over the pie chart for further review of the data.

Table Reservations

⚠️Important: This metric is only available for customers with ResDiary.

The metrics shown here include:

  • Daily Created Reservation showing the number of table bookings made via GuestStay. Above the chart, the daily average provides you with a snapshot of the data for the selected time period. Hover over specific dates on the chart to see a summary of the data for that day. Above the chart, the daily average provides you with a snapshot of the data for the selected time.

  • Bookings versus Cancellations pie chart, showing the split between table bookings versus table cancellations via GuestStay. Hover over the chart for summary information showing the count and the percentage.

The exported report downloads to your device in CSV format.


Troubleshooting

  • Check-outs for non-kiosk customers: You can view check-outs for non-kiosk customers, this is where the room bill is sent to the guest and they can check out on their own devices.

  • Cannot see all of the metrics: Some of the metrics have specific access based on GuestStay Plans or integrations. Review the metrics access in the article above.
