Assisted digital registration via tablet
GuestStay Assisted allows hotel staff to streamline front desk registration using a tablet-based interface. Staff can locate any arrival without booking references and initiate digital registration, enhancing guest experience while maintaining control over the process.
⚠️Important: GuestStay Assisted is not a kiosk and does not perform check-in or payment processing - it handles registration data collection only.
Requirements
Before you begin, ensure you have:
A tablet for reception desk use, any standard tablet capable of running web browsers.
A stable internet connection.
Valid SSO (Single Sign-On) credentials for authorised hotel staff.
No additional software installation required.
Activate GuestStay Assisted
To activate GuestStay Assisted, follow the steps below:
Within Rezlynx PMS, select Menu.
Select GuestStay, then under Configuration select Functionality.
Scroll down to the Which functionality do you want to offer in your devices? section.
Select Add New Device.
📌Note: If you do not have this option please contact Support.
Enter a unique device name, then click Save.
Click Show QR code.
Scan the QR code with your assisted device. Alternatively, copy the link directly into the assisted devices browser.
🤓Tip: Save the website to your devices home screen, for quick easy access in future.
How it works
For hotel staff:
Access the Assisted URL on the reception tablet.
Authenticate using SSO credentials.
Select Check In or Check Out as required.
Use the search functionality to locate a guest using their last name or booking number.
Initiate registration, then pass the device to the guest or assist them with completing the registration details.
For guests:
Receive the tablet with their booking already located.
Complete the standard GuestStay registration - for data collection purposes only.
Submit information and proceed to reception for check-in and payment.
Troubleshooting
Does Assisted perform check-in and payment processing? No, Assisted handles registration only. Check-in and payment continue through standard hotel workflows.
Is this the same as a kiosk? No, Assisted is designed for hotel-controlled tablets and does not offer full self-service check-in.
Who can access the Assisted interface? Only authorised hotel staff with valid SSO credentials.
Can this be used on kiosks? No, Assisted is specifically for reception tablets.
What if a guest’s booking doesn’t appear in the search? Verify guest details or contact support for assistance.
