Understanding Housekeeping Statuses

Housekeeping statuses are created at the time of your database build and Go Live. The system has a set number of status codes, that cannot be added to. The statuses are used within Cleaning Schedules.

Navigate to System, select System again, and then select Status Codes.

Select Housekeeping Room to see what statuses are currently being used in your system.

⚠️ Important: Status Code ID 1000 must always be the final housekeeping code when the room is clean and ready for check-in.

Create a New Housekeeping Status

Housekeeping statuses are used to create your cleaning schedule that changes the status of a checked-in room in your system. This schedule is used to prompt a linen change and when a room is dirty upon checkout day.

To create a new housekeeping status, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to System, select System again, and then select Status Codes.

  2. Select Housekeeping Room.

  3. Select a Status Code slot, and edit the following details as required:

    • Display Code – maximum of 12 capital characters, use an underscore for a space.

    • Description – full description of the status code.

    • HK Status Time – used to detail how long the housekeeper would spend cleaning the room.

    • Colour – to allow filtering on the planner and these will show on the Check In screen.

  4. Select if the code is to be Used or Not Used.

  5. Click Save Changes.
