Guestline Rezlynx: Add or edit status codes

You can add or edit status codes - used to define the status of a room or booking - in a few simple steps.

Status codes are used to define the status of a room or booking, and can be set for the following areas of the system:

  • Title Booking / Reservations

  • Housekeeping rooms

  • Rooms

  • Booking room / Allocation

  • Group & Room Block Bookings

You can also set status codes for Advanced C&B to show within the Events' Diary in a separate area of the system.

⚠️ Important: Be cautious when modifying Rezlynx status codes - changing their order or unticking them will update active events or bedrooms bookings. Use blank status codes for additions, ensuring only C&B is ticked; otherwise, they will appear in bedroom bookings.


Add or edit status codes for title bookings

To add or edit status codes for title bookings, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate within Rezlynx to System, then within the System menu, select Status Codes.

  2. Select Title Booking from the left-hand menu.

  3. Add or edit Display Code and Description which are visible to all users.

  4. Select from the drop-down if the status Affects Availability for the property.

  5. Click Save Changes.

⚠️ Important: If editing existing title booking statuses, the colour on the planner is set to the ID rather than the display name - so please ensure you also review the Planner colours and settings within Rezlynx Ini Settings.


Add or edit status codes for housekeeping rooms

To add or edit status codes for housekeeping rooms, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate within Rezlynx to System, then within the System menu, select Status Codes.

  2. Select Housekeeping rooms from the left-hand menu.

  3. Add or edit the Display Code, Description, HK status time if required, and colour to be shown on the check in screen.

    ⚠️ Important: HK Status Time must be set prior to rooms being built within the system - if HK time is added afterwards, then this must be manually filled in on all existing rooms in order to feed to the reports for site. HK status time is used to set the number of minutes per room for the housekeepers to clean the room. The HK status time is then calculated by room with the status, and is shown within the Cleaning Forecast Report.

  4. Select from the drop-down if it is to be used or not.

  5. Click Save Changes.


Add or edit status codes for rooms & booking rooms

These settings are hard-coded within the system and used within the system to trigger other activities, and we would not recommend changing these display codes or descriptions.


Add or edit status codes for groups & room block bookings

To add or edit status codes for groups and room block bookings, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate within Rezlynx to System, then within the System menu, select Status Codes.

  2. Select Groups & Room Block Booking from the left-hand menu.

  3. Add or edit Display Code, Description, if it Affects Availability for the property, and if this restricts or Allows PickUp of rooms on groups or room blocks.

  4. Click Save Changes.
