Attributes are used to create additional fields in Rezlynx in order to gather specific information. Attributes can also be added to Registration cards and other templates for site by the Support Team. Attributes can also be made mandatory fields, meaning that users must complete them to progress within the system.
Attributes can be created within the following categories:
Companies
Enquiries
Profiles
Reservations
Rooms
You can also create attributes within Advanced C&B , and within CRS if you have these products.
Create a new attribute
To create a new attribute in rezlynx, follow the steps below:
Navigate within Rezlynx to System, then within the Codes & Rules menu select Attributes.
Select a category from the left-hand list, and click Add.
Complete the information as required:
Code in capitals up to 12 characters, using _ for spaces.
Description to be displayed on the system to the user.
Field Type is selected from the drop-down and determines how the information should be entered by the user.
📌 Note: Small box allows 20 characters; large box allows around 80 characters; list box allows the user to select from a number of options that you have added.
Default value can be added, or you can leave this blank to leave the attribute blank until information is entered.
Externally Synced can be externally synced with Roomlynx.
Click Save.
Once created, you will find the attribute box under the heading "Attributes" within the specific area of the system (for example: if created within a reservation, you will see this on the Notes & Logs page of the reservation under the heading "Attributes").
Edit an attribute
To edit an attribute in rezlynx, follow the steps below:
Navigate within Rezlynx to System, then within the Codes & Rules menu select Attributes.
Select a category from the left-hand list.
Locate the attribute from the list and click Edit.
Amend as required and click Save.
⚠️ Important: If you choose to delete an attribute, please note that all information contained within the attribute for past and future bookings will also be deleted as well and cannot be recovered.
