Guestline Rezlynx: Add or edit mandatory fields

You can add mandatory fields - which are fields that must be completed in order to progress further within the system - or edit current fields in a few easy steps.

Mandatory fields are marked in Rezlynx with a Red* and these fields must be completed to save.

Mandatory fields can be configured for:

  • Company Profiles

  • Profiles

  • Enquiries

  • Reservations

  • Groups

  • Room blocks

  • Denials

  • Room ID maintenance issues

  • Currency Exchange

You can also create mandatory within Advanced C&B, and within CRS if you have these products.

Add mandatory field

To add mandatory fields within Rezlynx, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Rezlynx, select System, then from the System menu, select Mandatory Fields.

  2. Select the area of the system, from the left-hand menu, that you would like to add the mandatory field to.

  3. A list of mandatory fields is shown, tick the field you wish to make mandatory in that area of the system.

  4. Click Save changes.


Edit mandatory field

To edit mandatory fields within Rezlynx, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Rezlynx, select System, then from the System menu, select Mandatory Fields.

  2. Select the area of the system, from the left-hand menu, that you would like to edit the mandatory field in.

  3. A list of mandatory fields is shown, tick the field you wish to make mandatory in that area of the system, or untick to remove this as a mandatory field.

  4. Click Save changes.

⚠️ Important: Any changes or additions will affect all users on site, and will be mandatory for any reservations created or edited from this point onwards.
