Configure advanced settings

Security

High Order Value Threshold - This threshold defines what a high value order is. Vouchers in orders over this value will require manual activation by a member of staff. For more information on how to activate a voucher, visit our article on Deactive or activate vouchers.

High Daily Sales Threshold - Once this value of sales is met, vouchers in following orders will require manual activation by a member of staff. Enabling you to manage your sales to suit your business needs.

Emails

Order Notification Mode - Select whether emails are sent only when an order requires action and your team does not already know about it (default), or always – this will send an email to the Order Notification email set in Company Profile.

Custom Order Confirmation Message - Add your own message in your order confirmation emails. Leave blank to use the default wording.

Custom Voucher Delivery Message - Add your own message in your voucher delivery emails. Leave blank to use the default wording.

Custom Email Sign-Off - Choose the wording of your valediction in emails, this will be followed by your company name.

Vouchers

Voucher Message Character Limit - Add a limit to how many characters a customer can add for their voucher's message. This is helpful with formatting or for vouchers going over multiple pages.

Voucher Custom Ordering - Allows you to configure the order in which vouchers appear in your shop. Once switched on, you can then set the order within Vouchers by clicking Change Display Order. You can then drag and drop the vouchers into the order you wish them to display on your shop page.

Voucher Amount Selection Mode - Allows you to configure the way monetary amount options display for vouchers in your shop, either as an input field or a drop-down menu.

Voucher Redemption

Hide voucher redemption box in shop - By default, vouchers can be used in the shop to purchase other vouchers. If you don’t want customer to purchase vouchers by using a voucher, then hide this option here.

Allow experience vouchers to be redeemed in shop - By default, only monetary vouchers can be used against transactions in the GuestVoucher shop, this can be overridden here.

Do not limit experience vouchers to like-for-like redemption - If experience vouchers can be redeemed in the shop, by default, it is only against products in the basket with the same revenue centers. By overriding here, they can be used against anything in the basket.

Automatically redeem as much as possible for voucher redemptions - By default, a user redeeming a monetary voucher will be asked for an amount, and a user redeeming an experience voucher will be asked to select from the experiences. This setting will automatically use as much of the voucher as possible against the cart in the shop.

Allow 'Voucher Value Relationships' - Voucher value relationships allow you to tie a voucher's value to the value of something else. If a customer's cart contains the correct number of items and the items have gone up in price since the voucher for those items was purchased, an adjustment will be made to the cart to ensure the voucher covers the price of the items it was intended to be used for.

Personalisation

Custom Discount Field Label - Choose the wording to appear in the discount code redemption box when a customer views their cart in the shop.

Website Customisation

Enable Website Style Editor - Enable an editor for customising your website's CSS. By default, this will be yes – it gives you further flexibility to customise your shop front. You can find out more about CSS options in our article Customise GuestVoucher.

Show Snowfall In December - Show a festive snowfall animation in your shop in December, by default this is yes.

Voucher Code Settings

Use Shorter Voucher Codes – This will allow for easier redemption when entering the code.

Shorter Voucher Codes Format - This setting is only applicable if shorter voucher codes have been enabled as above. This advanced setting determines how your shorter voucher codes should be formatted. By default, this will be alphanumeric or you can select to have numbers or letters.

Select custom voucher code when adding to cart - Enabling this option allows you to choose a specific voucher code when adding a voucher. This is useful if using pre-configured gift cards and is only applicable when selling vouchers through the GuestVoucher back office. Find out more in our article on selling a voucher.

Delivery

Limit delivery methods based on shopping cart contents - Associate vouchers and events with specific delivery methods, can be limited to the available delivery methods at checkout. Enabling this feature for the first time will enable all delivery methods for all vouchers to maintain existing functionality. You can then remove them as needed by editing the vouchers or delivery methods.

Auto apply the delivery method to the basket when a product is added - Apply the delivery method to the basket when a product is added if only one delivery method is possible for the order. This affects both shop and back office selling.

Localisation

This setting allows you to write different content for your items - such as vouchers, delivery options, etc - in multiple languages to best suit your customers' needs. Translations must be manually added by editing the voucher, delivery option etc.
