Room blocks are usually created when you want to sell those rooms online. If you are not selling the rooms online, via the Distribution Hub, then you might like to create a Group instead.
Create a Room Block
To create a Room Block, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Guest Journey, Room Blocks, then select Create.
Click Link to add your profile to the Room Block.
To add tracking and commission information:
Click Search next to company name to select the required company.
Click Search next to agent name to select required agent.
Click Search next to source name to select required source.
Select the Start and End dates for the room block.
Change the Status code if the default is not correct for this Room Block.
📌 Note: Ensure you select a status which will affect your availability if you want to block rooms out of your stock availability for the selected nights.
Select the Forecasted Rate Plan.
📌 Note: Rate plans are not necessarily used on room pick-up, but at least one needs to be selected to save the Room Block. More than one rate can be added if required.
At the bottom of the page, fill in the room block Description and reference if required.
Select the Guarantee tab, then add the pay type or or ledger account as required.
Select the Defaults tab, to set the Market Source, Media Source Code and any Notes.
📌 Note: The notes fields will apply to each reservation picked up since the notes have been added.
Select the Upsells tab, to add upsells prior to picking up rooms. Any products added in this screen will add to rooms picked up after this selection.
Click Save.
