Guestline Rezlynx: No Show - Reinstate a No Show

You can reinstate a No Show booking that was automatically created after your End of Day process in a few simple steps.

This article will help you to Reinstate a No Show if the guest arrives or wasn't checked in before EOD. You cannot reinstate a booking for a past date.

How to locate a No Show booking

You can find No Show bookings in the following ways:

No Show Report

  • To view this report, navigate to Reports, Reservation, then select No Shows. Search by the arrival date, and order as required, then click Refresh to view the results. Click on the REF to navigate to the booking.

Reservation Search

  • To view this report, navigate to Guest Journey, Reservations, then select Reservation Search. Search using the parameters, then click Search to view the results. Click on BOOKREF to navigate to the booking.


Reinstating a No Show reservation for 1 night

Once you have located the reservation which needs to be reinstated for 1 night only, follow the steps below:

  1. Within the required reservation, select the 3-dot menu, then select Re-instate.

  2. Within the Room & Rate section, note the value of the booking line, then select Options, and Change.

  3. Enter today's date for 1 night and reselect the required rate plan. Click Find Rates and select the Rate required.

    ⚠️Important: You cannot reinstate a booking for a past date.

  4. Check the booking line shows as required, and allocate by clicking Options then Allocate.

    🤓Tip: If you need to add or remove an override to show the correct rate, select Options, then Override.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Select the 3-dot menu, and select Check In.

  7. Navigate to Guest Journey, Billing, and then Room Billing.

  8. Select the reservation you have just checked in from the drop-down menu.

  9. Click Auto Poster to automatically change the cost of the nights stay or manually add the New Charge.

    📌Note: Any upsells that are on the reservation, will also post when Auto Poster is selected.

  10. Add Payment to bring the bill to 0.00.

  11. Check Out to close the bill and check out the guest.

    📌Note: The system will state the room is not due to be checked out, and you will need to: Choose a Housekeeping Status & tick Override.

⚠️Important: The reservation will not show in the Planner as it has been checked in and out for today's date, so this reservation will only be searchable within the reports but not from the planner.


Reinstating a No Show reservation for Multiple Nights

Once you have located the reservation which needs to be reinstated for more than 1 night, follow the steps below:

  1. Within the required reservation, select the 3-dot menu, then select Re-instate.

  2. Within the Room & Rate section, note the value of the booking line, then select Options, and Change.

  3. Enter today's date and the remaining nights, and reselect the required rate plan. Click Find Rates and select the Rate required.

    ⚠️Important: You cannot reinstate a booking for a past date.

  4. Check the booking line shows as required, and allocate by clicking Options then Allocate.

    🤓Tip: If you need to add or remove an override to show the correct rate, select Options, then Override.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Select the 3-dot menu, and select Check In.

  7. Navigate to Guest Journey, Billing, and then Room Billing.

  8. Select the reservation you have just checked in from the drop-down menu.

  9. Click New Charge to manually add the charges.

    🤓Tip: Make the cause of the charge clear, including the Guests name, date, and reason for the charge.

The room billing will remain open for the rest of the guests' stay on-site.
