What is a No Show Booking?

When you have not checked in reservations before your End of Day (EOD) runs or the guest fails to arrive, this is a No Show. This is different to a cancellation made by a guest in advance of their booking.

If you have system date enabled, the EOD process will automatically turn those reservations into No Show bookings and provide a clear report of these bookings for you to process.

🤓Tip: If you see a date in the top right of the screen, then system date is enabled for your property. If you do not have this feature enabled, please contact our team for further details on the benefits of this feature.

What happens to a No Show booking in the system?

If you have system date enabled:

  • The booking will be unallocated and automatically removed from the planner.

  • If the booking was for multiple nights, it will release the remaining nights to be sold. This occurs because the system holds the rooms for the first night only, unless the guest has called to state they will be delayed.

If no system date is enabled:

No change is made to the reservation.

How to locate a No Show booking

You can find No Show bookings in the following ways:

Reservation Search

  • To view this report, navigate to Guest Journey, Reservations, then select Reservation Search. Search using the parameters, then click Search to view the results. Click on BOOKREF to navigate to the booking.

No Show Report

  • To view this report, navigate to Reports, Reservation, then select No Shows. This report will automatically show yesterday's date. Search by the arrival date, and order as required, then click Refresh to view the results. Click on the REF to navigate to the booking.

Check In Screen - for Non-System Date users only

  • View the Check In screen for the specific date of the booking, and click to select the booking.
