Guestline Rezlynx: Special events on the planner

You can add a special event or notice to the planner for internal or external events or important dates.

Special events can be added to the planner to highlight special dates or events happening internally or externally that you want your teams to be aware of. The special events will show within the Availability screen, planner, and within the C&B diary.

Add a special event

To add a special event, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Rezlynx, Guest Journey, Property, and then Planner.

  2. Choose the date from the calendar and click refresh.

  3. Click on the blank square under the date at the top.

  4. Select the Start and End Date.

  5. Choose the group that best fits the event.

    🤓 Tip: If you have no groups or need to create a new one, see further in this article.

  6. Add a description – this will be seen on the Planner.

  7. Click save.

  8. Your event will now been seen on the Planner, Availability Page and C&B diary.

📌 Note: If uploading the same event for multiple events use "Additional Date Range".


Change the planner icon for special events

To change the planner icon, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Rezlynx, System, Ini settings, and then Planner.

  2. Scroll to Configuration at the bottom of the screen, and in Special Event View you can select either:

    • Collapsed

    • Expanded

  3. Once you have selected the required view, click Update. The changes will now be visible when returning to the planner.


Set up new special event groups and colours

To add additional event types when setting up special events, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Rezlynx, Guest Journey, Front office, and select Events.

  2. Select New Group to create a new category for the special events.

    📌 Note: You can also create special events here too. This is not linked to your C&B function settings.

  3. Complete the following information as required:

    • Event date group - this is the name of the group as seen when making a special event and in the menu on the left.

    • Description - this is the description seen on the planner, availability screen, and C&B diary.

    • Group Colour - click on the colour square to select your required colour.

  4. Click save and the group is added to the list on the left.
