You can use logs to show changes that have taken place within the system. This article focuses on Rezlynx Logs, rather than Advanced C&B event logs.
Accessing Logs
To access logs, navigate to Help, then select Logs.
The Rezlynx logs available within the system are examined in the tables below, which display the available reports along with key information about each report.
Groups/Room Block Logs
Used for: | Viewing when a group has been created, edited, cancelled, added rooms, picked up rooms, removed rooms, re-saved and had a change of status. This will show you when this was done and by whom. |
Filters Available: | From Date, To Date, Operator, Entry Type, Group/ Room Block Reference Number. |
Information returned: | Log ID, Date and Time, Entry Type, Operator, Group/ Room Block Reference Number, Detail. |
Can be compared with: | The ‘Log’ within the Default Misc tab of the Group. |
Cannot be compared with: | Reservation Logs. |
Overbooking Configuration
Used for: | Checking when overbooking values were configured in the system, and by whom. |
Filters Available: | From Date, To Date, Event Type (not related to functions and events, but referring to the type of action to report on, such as Overbooking Limits Value Updated, Overbooking Limits Restriction Updated, Room Overbooking Configuration Updated, or House Overbooking Configuration Updated), and Operator. |
Information returned: | Date and Time, Event Type, Operator, and Details. |
Reservation Logs (PMS)
Used for: | Viewing changes to reservations, including attribute changes, booking line changes, when a booking was checked in / out, hotel or room type overbookings and token amendments and additions. |
Filters Available: | From Date, To Date, Entry Type, Operator, Booking Reference, Room Pick ID, Folio ID, Folio Split ID, Profile Reference, Display By (Date/ Entry Type/ Operator). |
Information returned: | Log ID, Date and Time, Entry Type, Operator, Booking Reference, Room Pick ID, Folio ID, Folio Split ID, Profile Reference, Details. |
Can be compared with: | Rate override report - Entry Type "Rate Override Applied". |
Cannot be compared with: | Group/Room Logs. |

Restrictions Logs
Used for: | Viewing changes made to the restrictions set on rate plans from within Rezlynx. This includes close outs, close to arrival, close to departure and minimum length of stay additions/ modifications. |
Filters Available: | Start Date, End Date, Filter By (Change Date/ Restriction Date), Entry Types, Operator, Rate Plan. |
Information returned: | Log ID, Time and Date, Operator, Rate Plan, Start Date, End Date, Room Type, Details. |
Can be compared with: | Restrictions Summary report for restrictions. |
Cannot be compared with: | Restrictions set within the Distribution Hub using Set Restrictions. |
System Logs (PMS)
Used for: | Viewing when system and configuration changes have occurred- who has completed them and when. Can be used to see when the hotel has been overbooked, when staff members log in and out, and when prices have been amended in rate tables. |
Filters Available: | From Date, To Date, Entry Type, Operator, Code, Display By (Date/ Entry Type/ Operator). |
Information returned: | Log ID, Time & Date, Entry Type, Operator, Code, Details |
