Guestline Rezlynx: Create or delete maintenance codes

Maintenance codes are used when creating maintenance period(s) to be able to filter the maintenance report.

Maintenance codes are used when creating a maintenance period to indicate why a room or item is unavailable. This could include:

  • Putting a room out of service

  • Deducting from stock

  • Adding a task to a maintenance list

Common examples include electrical issues, plumbing problems, deep cleaning, or refurbishment. Using these codes allows you to filter maintenance reports by specific types.


Create a new maintenance code

To create a new maintenance code, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to System, Codes & Rules, then click Maintenance Codes.

  2. Click New.

  3. Type the Code - 12 characters long, use an underscore for a space.

  4. Type the Description - reason for maintenance.

  5. Click Save Changes.


Delete a maintenance code

To delete a maintenance code, follow the steps below:

​📌Note: You can only delete a maintenance code if it has not been used in a future/past maintenance period.

  1. Navigate to System, then Codes & Rules, then Maintenance Codes.

  2. Click Delete.
