Maintenance codes are used when creating a maintenance period to indicate why a room or item is unavailable. This could include:
Putting a room out of service
Deducting from stock
Adding a task to a maintenance list
Common examples include electrical issues, plumbing problems, deep cleaning, or refurbishment. Using these codes allows you to filter maintenance reports by specific types.
Create a new maintenance code
To create a new maintenance code, follow the steps below:
Go to System, Codes & Rules, then click Maintenance Codes.
Click New.
Type the Code - 12 characters long, use an underscore for a space.
Type the Description - reason for maintenance.
Click Save Changes.
Delete a maintenance code
To delete a maintenance code, follow the steps below:
📌Note: You can only delete a maintenance code if it has not been used in a future/past maintenance period.
Navigate to System, then Codes & Rules, then Maintenance Codes.
Click Delete.
