Analysis codes are used to track revenue. They are linked to products within the system and used in the Ini settings to set default analysis codes for rate tables and supplement tables. They allow you to monitor income and expenditure from the system, and report on the current periods and revenue reports.

You can also create Non-revenue analysis codes to report transactions where revenue is collected by your property but does not belong to the property - for example for City Taxes that have to be paid to local authorities.

⚠️ Important: If you change the tax code on an existing analysis code, or change the revenue type you will need a reservation re-save for your property. This can be completed by our Support Teams for you on request.

Create an analysis code group

Groups are used to organise analysis codes on the end of day and current period reports, with a total of each group’s codes shown at the bottom of the report.

To create an analysis code group, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to System, Codes and Rules, then Analysis Codes.

  2. Click New Group.

  3. Complete the information as required:

    • Analysis Group Code: Enter a code in capitals upto 12 characters long, using an underscore for a space.

    • Description: Enter a clear description, which can be seen by other users.

    • Include in Revenue Export: If selected, this will add the revenue for the group as a column on the Revenue Export report.

  4. Click Save.
