Guestline GuestVoucher: Create and manage payment methods

This guide explains how to add, configure, and manage payment methods in GuestVoucher. You will learn how to create new payment methods, set options, and edit or delete existing ones.

Create a payment method

To create a payment method in GuestVoucher, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Settings, then select Payment Methods.

  2. Click Create New.

  3. Fill in the following fields:

    • Name: This will appear to the customer during checkout.

    • Mapping Code: Not used by Guestline PMS, enter 0.

  4. Configure payment options, in the following ways:

    • Online Payment: Tick this if the payment will be handled by Guestvoucher using your selected payment provider.

    📌Note: If unticked, this payment method can only be used when selling vouchers via the Guestvoucher back office.

    • Online Shop Default: Tick this if you want this method to be the default for all orders made through the customer-facing online shop.

    📌Note: Only one payment method can be selected as default. Selecting this will deselect any others.

    • Requires Notes: Tick this if staff must provide a note when processing the order.

  5. Once completed, click Create.

⚠️Important: If you add any additional pay types after go-live, you will need to complete the PMS mappings to ensure they integrate correctly with the PMS.


Managing Existing Payment Methods

Edit a Payment Method

To edit an existing payment method, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the pencil icon next to the payment method you want to edit.

  2. Edit as required, then click to Update changes.

Delete a Payment Method

To delete a payment method, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the bin icon next to the payment method you want to remove.

  2. The payment method is instantly removed.
