Guestline GuestVoucher: Create a voucher

You can create a voucher using GuestVoucher back office, in a few simple steps.

To create a voucher, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to GuestVoucher.

  2. Select Design & Create, and then select Vouchers.

  3. Click Create new.

  4. Select a voucher template from the drop-down menu.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Select Voucher Type from the drop-down menu, as either monetary or experience.

  7. Select Voucher status from the drop-down menu, options include:

    • Active vouchers are listed and purchasable in the shop and sellable by staff.

    • Hidden vouchers are hidden from the shop index, but still accessible to customers with a link, and sellable by staff.

    • Disabled vouchers are not available anywhere.

    • In-store Only vouchers are not available in the shop and are only sellable by staff

  8. Add aVoucher Name and Voucher Description, which are displayed on the customer voucher.

  9. Add aSelling Description, which is displayed online.

  10. Add any specific Terms and Conditions for this voucher.

  11. Select the Expiry Type from the drop-down menu, options include:

    • Never expire: This voucher has no end date.

    • Valid period: Valid from today until a set date.

    • Date range: Valid only between the date ranges specified.

  12. Select Quantity available, Period Type, and a Voucher limit.

  13. Tags can be selected to make locating the voucher easier within the back office.

  14. Select Next.

  15. Click Select a Selling image to upload an advertising image. Once uploaded, click Next.

  16. Complete the revenue tab, including maximum and minimum voucher values.

  17. Click Finish to create the voucher.


Troubleshooting

  • Make the voucher live but not publicly visible - This is possible by editing a voucher and changing the status to hidden/unlisted. You can then click "get link" and share that with specific customers so that they can control who can see the voucher. This could be shared via email or special media as required.

  • Restrict voucher visibility or purchase via a code – This is not possible, but the above method would let you share a link to a specific voucher type.

    Alternatively, you can use the new discount link feature, which auto applies the discount (meaning no need for customers to input a code) and is only visible to the customers that originated from the special link.
