Guestline EPoS: Create and link a drink measure

You can create, link, and manage drink measures in Guestline EPoS in a few simple steps.

Before you begin, ensure you have access to the Back Office section of Guestline EPoS with appropriate permissions to manage drink measures.

Navigate to PLU Setup

To access PLU setup, navigate to EPoS Back Office, then select PLU Setup.


Create a drink measure...

Add new measures

To add new meaures, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Drink Measures button.

  2. Click Add PLU Measure.

  3. Enter the measure description in the Measure Description box.

  4. Enter the number of millilitres for this measure in the Measure ml box.

  5. If this measure is also a stock measure, put a tick in the box.

  6. Click the Add button.

You will be able to start using it straight away.

Add a stock measure

To add a stock measure, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Drink Measures.

  2. Select Add Stock Measure.

  3. Enter the measure description in the Measure Description box.

  4. Enter the quantity in the Qty box.

  5. Enter the number of millilitres of the individual item in the Individual Item size ml box. If this measure is also a PLU measure, put a tick in the box.

  6. Click Add.

You will be able to start using it straight away.

Delete a drink measure

To delete a drink measure, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the measure you want to delete.

  2. Click Delete.

  3. Confirm the action by clicking OK.


Link a drink measure...

⚠️ Important: Before creating drink PLU items with half/small and double/large options, you must first link the appropriate measures together in the drink measures section. This ensures that the Half/Small and Double/Large functions work correctly in the main Guestline EPoS application when creating new drink PLU items.

Add a new linked measure

To add a new linked measure, follow the steps below:

  1. In the section at the bottom of the screen, use the Small / Single Measure drop-down list to select the smaller size measure.

  2. Use the Large / Double Measure drop-down list to choose the larger size of this measure.

  3. Once you have selected the measures, click the Link button.

Delete a linked measure

To delete a linked measure, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the linked measures you want to remove.

  2. Click the Remove Link button.
