Requirements
To use Occupancy Based Pricing, you must have:
Direct connection between Guestline and Booking.com (not available via third-party connections)
Access to your Booking.com extranet portal
Appropriate rate plans are configured in Guestline
Occupancy Based Pricing, also called per-person pricing, is now supported with Guestline and Booking.com. This allows the updating of rates to Booking.com to be by individual occupant rather than as a single room rate (per room).

Configuration
To configure Occupancy Based Pricing, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Guestline Rate Plan settings
When building your bedroom rate plan, ensure you set the charge mode to Per Person, rather than per room or the charge mode can be changed in the existing rate plan.
Ensure the rate plan is mapped to Booking.com for sale online.
To complete the mapping process, navigate to Distribution Hub, then Configuration, Rates and select Manage Rates. Select your rate plan and ensure the charge mode here is also set to Per Person.
Step 2: Activate Occupancy Based Pricing
Once you have completed set up and mapping of your rates in Guestline, please contact [email protected] to request Occupancy Based Pricing at Booking.com, to be enabled.
⚠️ Important: Please note this will affect all rate plans active with Booking.com.
Step 3: Check rates are correct in Booking.com
When Occupancy Based Pricing has been confirmed as being active, please check your rates in Booking.com.
To check rates within Booking.com, follow the steps below:
Log in to Booking.com extranet for the desired property.
Navigate to Rates & Availability, then select Calendar.
Expand the appropriate Rate Plan under the desired Room Type.
Review the breakdown of rates by occupant.
This view confirms that your Occupancy Based Pricing is working correctly and rates are displaying per person rather than per room.
