Apple and Google Wallet Passes
This functionality is available subject to the terms of your
Guests can download wallet passes, compatible with Apple and Android devices, directly from their booking confirmation email. These passes contain essential reservation details and are automatically updated on the guest’s device if any reservation details change, ensuring the information is always current without requiring a re-download.
Guests can download the Wallet Passes in two ways:
GuestStay Portal: Wallets are available to download via the GuestStay Portal from booking until departure. The image below shows how the pass within the guest portal (notice in this case only the Android pass is displayed because this image was not taken from an Apple device):
Post Check-In email: GuestStay automatically sends an email after check-in, referred to as the "proof of registration," which includes a link to download the wallet passes. This email is sent to all guests, regardless of whether they completed the digital registration process or not.
The appearance of the pass varies slightly depending on whether the guest is using an Android or Apple device. However, it consistently displays the following fields, including the guest's signature if the digital registration process has been completed.
Troubleshooting
When there are changes to a reservation, will the user need a new pass? No, any changes performed are automatically pushed to the pass as soon as the device has Internet connection.
Can this be switched off? No this is default functionality.
Is this accessible during the guests' stay? Yes, it is available at any time during the stay and will automatically update with any changes to the reservation, without needing to download the pass again.
