This functionality is available subject to the terms of your GuestStay plan.
The GuestStay billing feature enhances the experience for business travellers and guests needing a billing address different from their personal one, especially during check out from guests phones or kiosks.
Activation
To activate or deactivate this feature, follow the steps below:
Within Rezlynx PMS, select Menu.
Select GuestStay, then under Configuration select Functionality.
Scroll down to Configure your GuestStay experience.
Slide the toggle next to Self check-out to activate or deactivate as required.
Billing Address
When a guest pays their bill online, and checks out, via a mobile device or via the kiosk, they might request a different address on the invoice.
Guests can check and update their address in a few simple steps:
Guest opens the online balance either in a kiosk or on their own mobile device.
The guest has an option to choose the billing address. By default, the personal billing address is chosen, but the guest has the option to choose a company address using the tick box on screen:
The guest can then add their company address and click Save.
📌Note: The address is stored on this reservation only, not for future stays or in guests profile.
The address is then updated on all bill splits within the guests Room Billing - except Ledger folios.
On some occasions, the billing address will not transfer to the PMS as outlined below:
If the guest does not check out via GuestStay (kiosk or personal device), the address won't be stored in the PMS
If the guest checks out in GuestStay, but the check-out cannot be performed in the PMS, then the address won't be stored in the PMS either (this can happen if not all bill splits are 0).
Troubleshooting
I don't see this functionality available for my hotel, why? This functionality is only available if you have the Self check-out functionality from GuestStay turned on. This can be enabled by site via System, System, GuestStay, then scroll down to Which functionality do you want to offer? and toggle on Self Check-out.
Are billing addresses added to the guests profile in Rezlynx? No, the addresses entered by the guests are stored only for the specific reservations
Which bill splits are updated with a billing address added by a guest? All open bill splits in guest folios will be modified with the billing address chosen by the guest. Ledger folios are not affected.
