Guestline Rezlynx: Lost property overview

You can log both lost and found items and use the lost property system to keep track of all items you are currently holding or looking for in few simple steps.

The Lost Property feature can be accessed from the Guest Journey under Front Office. This system allows you to maintain a comprehensive record of items that have been lost or found at your property, helping you track items efficiently and ensuring proper documentation for returning items to their owners.


Access Lost Property

To access Lost Property, navigate to Guest Journey, Front Office, then Lost Property.


Add Lost Property or Found Item

To create a new lost property or found item, follow the steps below:

  1. Within Lost Property, select New.

  2. Complete the first section, including:

    • Type - select if the item is lost or found.

    • Status - select from the drop-down menu.

    • Item Description - add as much information as possible, including description, colour, brand, or any identifying features.

  3. Link Reservation Details, if known.

  4. Enter Last Seen Details if it is a lost item, to help your team find the item.

  5. Enter Found Details if it is a found item.

  6. Click Save.

  7. After saving a new option is shown Add Image, click this to upload a file up to 100KB.

Once the item has been returned to the guest, the Return Details can be completed.


Update Lost Property or Found item

Once the item has been returned to the guest, the Return Details can be completed.

To update the Lost Property record, follow the steps below:

  1. Find the item within the Lost Property page, then select Edit.

  2. Complete the return details section.

    🤓Tip: Provide as much information as possible in this section, incase the guest needs to check on a tracking number or method of return at any time.

  3. Update the item Status.

  4. Click Save.


Search and Filter Lost Property

Within the Lost Property page, you can use filter to narrow down the results.

  1. The filters include:

    • Dates - Set Lost or Found From and To dates, or leave the date ranges empty to search the whole database.

    • Display Item Type - select from the drop-down menu to narrow down the items.

    • Order By - By default, results will be ordered by the date they were recorded in Rezlynx. Change the order by selecting Order By from the drop-down menu.

  2. Click Refresh after using filters for the screen to update.

  3. Click View to print or save the report in your required format.
