Tax & City Tax
Folio Styles have no tax implications. The formatting changes do not affect tax calculations or reporting.
When grouping transactions like food and drink, guests or companies can always request detailed receipts to verify individual charges if needed.
Customers using the City Tax feature were previously unable to use certain Folio Styles; however, this is no longer the case. When you select Folio Styles, City Tax now uses the description of the Analysis Code linked to the City Tax rule instead of the rate plan description.
Best Practices
Test different folio styles with sample bills before implementing property wide.
Consider your guests' preferences when choosing default styles.
