Merging profiles is useful to eliminate duplicate profiles created in the system, ensuring that all information related to a person is consolidated into a single profile. This helps maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reduces confusion, and improves the efficiency of managing reservations and billing.

You can merge profiles either individually or via batch merge - both options are detailed below.

📌Note: It may prompt you to confirm your password again as this feature has an extra level of security, if you do not have access please revert to an Admin user on site to complete this action for you.

Batch Merge

To batch merge multiple people profiles, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Rezlynx, Profiles, Merge Profiles and select the Batch Merge tab.

  2. Tick to select at least 3 profile properties which must match in order to qualify as a duplicate profile. Surname is compulsory and within the surname filter you need to enter at least one letter.

  3. Tick Include Blank Fields to match fields that contain no actual data.

  4. Once all properties and filters have been set, click Get Duplicates.

  5. From the results, tick one profile to retain from each group of duplicates, into which the other profiles will be merged. Tick Don't Merge for profiles not to be included in the merge. A batch of duplicates won't be merged if no profile has been retained.

📌Note: If no results were found for the selected criteria, this means there are no duplicates found based on the profile properties and filters set but you can amend and research if required.

Individual Merge

To merge individual people profiles, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Rezlynx, Profiles, Merge Profiles and select the Individual Merge tab.

  2. Within the Duplicate Profile box, select Link. Search for the duplicated profile using the search criteria, and select the profile.

  3. Within the Retained Profile box, select Link. Search for the profile you wish to merge into using the search criteria, and select the profile.

  4. Once the duplicate and retain profiles have been selected, click Merge.
