Enabling the ‘Shift Allowances on Upsells’ feature for your site will not impact reservations with existing upsells attached.

Enabling the ‘Shift Allowances on Upsells’ feature for your site will not impact reservations with existing upsells attached. The update will only work when an upsell is added to a reservation following its activation. Subsequent reservations will be subject to the new feature.

Because of this, it is important to ensure all of your Product Upsells are configured correctly.

Review and Configure Your Upsell Products

We recommend reviewing all of your Upsell Products, especially those utilised in Product Rules. It is probable that a Shift Allowance is configured within the Product Setup.


Steps to Review and Configure

Step 1: Review Current Upsell Products:

  1. Verify that the currently configured Shift Allowance aligns with your new requirements.

  2. If the existing Shift Allowance doesn’t match your preferences, change the Product to a Bedroom Product. This action allows it to remain usable in the Product Rule but will no longer appear on your Upsells tab.

Step 2: Create New Upsell Product:

Create a new Product dedicated solely as an Upsell.

Configure the desired Shift Allowance on the new Upsell Product.

Step 3: To activate:

  1. Go to the System menu, System, Ini Settings, then Shift Allowances - tick the Shift Allowances on Upsells box and then click Update.

📌Note: If you request for a reservation re-save to be completed, this will then update the shift allowance on upsells for pre-existing reservations.

Shift Allowances will work if you have Access, Guestline or Newbridge EPoS, for 3rd party EPoS please check with your provider.
