Guestline Rezlynx: Edit a charge or quantity posted incorrectly within room billing

You can correct a wrongly posted charge within room billing, in a few easy steps.

Edit a charge or quantity posted incorrectly within room billing

Firstly, navigate to Room Billing (Rezlynx, Guest Journey, Billing, Room Billing), and select the room or reservation to amend from the drop-down menu.


Edit a charge to not be visible on room billing

To edit a charge to not be visible on room billing, follow these steps:

  1. Tick the charge(s) to be adjusted. Click Options, then select Adjust.

  2. Enter the amount under New Value Each, enter a Comment or reason for the adjustment. Click Adjust.

To edit a charge to be visible on the room billing, follow these steps:

  1. Click New Charge.

  2. Within the Free Type section enter the details:

    • Analysis code

    • Description to display on guest room bill.

    📌Note: If left blank, the analysis code description will be displayed.

  • Quantity

  • Value of the adjustment/difference

📌Note: To discount a value, add a minus at the front of the value.

  • Select Free Type Post.


Edit the quantity of items on the room billing

To edit the quantity of items on the room billing, follow these steps:

  1. Tick the item(s) to be adjusted. Click Options, then Delete.

    📌Note: A comment should be entered for reporting purposes (i.e. wrong quantity entered) and will be shown on Deletion Analysis Report.

  2. Click New Charge. Enter the correct charge and quantity.

  3. Select Post.
