Cancellation codes have to be selected when cancelling an Advanced C&B Event. The cancellation codes are included on the Cancelled Bookings report and can be used to track the reasons why guests have cancelled an event. The lost to types are selected when business has been lost to another venue or competitor.
Create cancellation reasons
To create cancellation reasons, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Advanced C&B, then from the Configuration menu select Cancellation Codes.
On Cancellation Reasons tab, click New.
Complete the information as required:
Code used to identify the cancellation reasons, maximum of 3 digits.
Description of the cancellation reason
Category selection for where the code will be seen
🤓 Tip: You can select Cancellation and Lost together if required, how Reinstate is a single selection.
Inactive can be ticked if this cancellation code is no longer required.
Click Save.
Create lost to types
To create lost to types, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Advanced C&B, then from the Configuration menu select Cancellation Codes.
On Lost To Types tab, click New.
Complete the information as required:
Code used to identify the loss, maximum of 3 digits.
Description of the lost to type
Inactive can be ticked if this lost to type is no longer required.
Click Save.
⚠️ Important: Configuration that has been used on an event should not be deleted as it will cause errors within the system. Inactive selection should be used wherever the configuration is no longer needed.
