The design query report is a detailed report which can be used to review reservation data and is usually used to analyse the demographic of a property's client base and to generate mailing lists.

Set User Permission

⚠️Important: As this feature enables the export of sensitive guest data, only Admins have access to the Design Query report as a default. Only Admins can set user permissions for this report. If you are not an Admin user, please contact an on-site Admin to update your permissions, as Guestline cannot set them for you.

We recommend that if a non-admin user requires access to the Design Query report, a new user group should be created specifically for this purpose, following steps 1-3 below.

To set up access for users to this report, follow the steps below:

Step 1 - Create a new user group

  1. Navigate to System, System, User Setup.

  2. Click Create a new local group in the bottom left of the screen.

  3. Complete the following fields to create the user group:

    • Group ID: Use up to 12 characters, use an underscore instead of spaces, and use capitals only.

    • Description: Add a clear description for this reporting access group.

Step 2 - Add Design Query permissions to user group

  1. Below the group Description box, select the Access tab.

  2. Click the arrow to expand the Reports section, and tick Sales & Marketing Design Query to grant access to the group.

  3. Click Save Changes in the bottom right of the screen.

Step 3 - Add the new user group to the user

  1. Navigate to the platform home page or use the link here: https://home.eu.guestline.app, click Users from the left hand menu.

  2. Locate the user from the list, then click the Pencil icon to edit.

  3. Scroll down to PMS, in Site Roles select the new user group and select Update Permissions.
