This article explains how to use the self-service Reservation ReSave tool without contacting Support.
The Reservation ReSave tool allows you to recalculate and update reservation data when configuration changes affect existing bookings. Common scenarios include changes to breakfast allocations, corrections to rate plan configurations, or updates following tax rule changes.
Before you start
Before using the Reservation ReSave tool, ensure you have the following:
Admins user permissions.
A clear understanding of which entities require resaving.
Awareness that resaves are limited to two per week.
What does the reservation re-save do?
It will:
Updates all future reservations with current rate configuration.
Maintains quoted reservation prices by applying rate overrides where needed.
Recalculates product and supplement allocations based on current settings.
Useful when changing breakfast charges, VAT rates, or other configuration.
Important notes:
Reservation Resave cannot be undone - changes are permanent.
Current reservation prices will be maintained.

Function reservations cannot retain current rates and will be updated.
Resident Reservations will not be affected.
This process may take several minutes to complete or longer at peak times.
Access the Reservation ReSave tool
To access the tool, follow these steps:
Log in to Guestline Rezlynx PMS.
Navigate to System, Tools, then select Reservation ReSave.
The Reservation ReSave page displays your resave history, including when the tool was last run and the outcome of previous resaves.
Schedule a reservation resave
To schedule a new reservation resave, follow these steps:
On the Reservation ReSave page, scroll down to the scheduling section.
Review the important information about the resave process, including:
The impact on system performance.
The time required to complete the resave.
The impact on existing reservations during the process.
Select the entities you want to resave from the available options.
Select the acknowledgement checkbox to confirm you've read and understood the important information.
Click Schedule ReSave.
📌Note: Once you schedule a resave, you can't queue another until the current one completes. The system also tracks your weekly usage—you're limited to two resaves per week.
Monitor resave progress
After scheduling your resave, the system adds your request to a managed queue. This ensures system stability by preventing multiple properties from running resaves simultaneously. You don't need to remain on the page whilst the resave processes. You can navigate away and return later to check the status.
To check your resave status:
Navigate to System, Tools, then select Reservation ReSave.
Check the status section at the top of the page.
The page displays when the resave started, its current status, and when it completed.
📌Note: Depending on system traffic and the number of reservations requiring updates, resaves may take several hours to complete.
Next steps
Once your resave completes successfully, the system automatically updates all affected reservations. You'll see the completion status on the Reservation ReSave page, including the number of reservations processed.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with the Reservation ReSave tool, try these solutions:
The Schedule ReSave button is disabled: You may already have a resave queued or in progress. Check the status section at the top of the page. If a resave is complete, refresh the page to enable the button again.
The resave hasn't started after several hours: During peak periods, resaves may queue for longer than usual. If more than 24 hours have passed without starting, contact Support for assistance.
The resave failed or shows an error: Check the error message displayed in the status section. If the issue isn't clear, contact Support with the timestamp and error details shown on the page.
I need to run more than two resaves in one week: If you're an Admin user with urgent requirements, contact Support to discuss your specific situation.
Market segments: Market segments were previously not updated as part of the reservation re-save, it was only ever the amounts associated with a rate plan. The new Reservation Re-save tool will update the market segments if the Market Segment is Editable is not ticked, which can be reviewed by navigating to System, System, then select Ini Settings, then Reservations and scroll down to the "OTHER" section. If the Market Segment is Editable is unticked the reservation re-save will also update the market segments.
Events: Previously events were not updated as part of the reservation re-save. Events still will not update amended VAT on menus or menu items, will not amend misc item name changes, default notes, or resource changes.
