Rates plans can be created, and mapped, that feed up to Best Western(BW) that either:
Rate updates sent to CRS
In this article, we will cover the steps required to build a BW rate plans that sends updates to CRS.
However, if you are not a Best Western property, you will build a rate plan using another method.
Best Western - Build a rate plan and map to BW with rate updates sent to CRS
Step 1: Create rate plan within Rezlynx PMS
To create a BW rate plan, follow the steps below:
Within Rezlynx navigate to System, then within the Rates menu select Rate Plans.
Click New Bedroom Rate Plan.
Create the rate plan code.
🤓Tip: We recommend prefixing the BW rate name with BW_ . For example, Rate plan RACK at Best Western would be BW_RACK in PMS.
Enter the rate plan Description.
🤓Tip: This can be found at Memberweb.
Select a Group code, a subgroup code and set the market segment.
Tick the Rate Plan Available.
Enter the dates that the rate plan available between.
Enter the nights per room from that a guest can book the rate plan.
🤓Tip: Unless a package 1-28 should be populated here.
Enter the number of occupants for the rate plan.
⚠️Important: Only pricing for up to 5 occupants can be sent to online channels to be sold online, regardless of supplements etc.
Charge Mode for rate plan - this must be Per Room.
Select Rate Rule.
Select the appropriate Product Rule.
If required attach relevant Supplement rule.
Expose Rate to PMS, Distribution Hub and BW CRS.
Restriction Level select Best Western rate level for this rate plan.
Send GTD/CXL Policy to BW – Tick if the Guarantee/CXL policy will be updated from PMS to CRS.
BW Discounted Rate – Tick if the rate is discounted by BW.
Send Values to BW – Should be ticked as the pricing will be controlled from PMS to CRS.
⚠️Important: This tick box is what determines if the rate plan sends updates to CRS or not.
BW Rate Plan enter here the BW Rate code i.e. RACK Not BW_RACK
Tick all room types the rate plan is available on.
Click on the BW Policies tab and add the policy for the rate plan ensuring you cover the full duration of the rate plan.
Optional step – attach a company to the rate plan so it is hidden from general rate searches in PMS.
Click Save.
⚠️Important: The actions of exposing the rate plan to BW CRS and adding in the BW rate plan is what completes the mapping for this rate plan.
Step 2: Resync from Rezlynx PMS to Distribution Hub
To complete a Resync from Rezlynx PMS to Distribution Hub, follow the steps below:
Within Rezlynx navigate to System, then within the Tools menu select Re-Sync.
Under Distribution Hub, select the start and end dates.
📌Note: You can only re-sync for 30 days at a time. The support team can resync this for a longer period if required.
Tick Rate Plans and then select the rate plan you have just created.
Tick Flex Rates and then select the rate plan you have just created.
Click Confirm.
📌Note: Re-syncs should only be performed when a new room or rate plan is created.
Step 3: Check the rates per day
To check the rates per day, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Rates per day in either of these ways:
Within Rezlynx navigate to Distribution Hub, then within the Rates menu select Rates per day.
OR within Distribution Hub navigate to Configuration, and then within the Rates menu select Rates per day.
Select your property and within the channel filter for rates select Best Western.
Select the dates, and untick all rate plans. Select the rate plan you have just created and select Display.
Review the rates and ensure these are correct before progressing to the next step.
🤓Tip: If the rates are not correct, review your rate plans rate rule and product rules.
Step 4: Resynchronisation from Distribution Hub to Best Western
To resynchronise from Distribution Hub to Best Western, follow the steps below:
Navigate to the Resycronication section of Distribution Hub in either of these ways:
Within Rezlynx PMS, select Distribution Hub and within the Connections menu select Resync
OR Within Distrubution Hub select Channels and within the Resyncronisation menu select Resyncronisation
On the Resyncronication page, select your property, and then select the Best Western Channel.
Select today's date and the end date 365days into the future.
Tick Inventory, Rates and Restrictions option.
Tick the rate plan created.
Click Start Resync.
Check Monitoring Page for successful updates on Rates and Inventory Interface.
