Guestline Distribution Hub: Best Western - overbooking functionality

You can resyncronise overbooking data to Best Western and review the room overbookings within Distribution Hub, in a few easy steps.

Overbooking functionality can be set up within Rezlynx PMS and must also be set within Member Web.

When overbooking is enabled for the Best Western CRS interface in Distribution Hub, the display of the overbooking values will be the same as for other online booking agents in Rooms Per Day.

The key difference between the Best Western CRS interface and other connections is that Overbooking values are sent to Best Western in a new message type.

On the Distribution Hub Monitoring page, Overbooking updates will display in the Rates, Availability, and Restrictions interface:

When viewing these in the list of messages, they will display with a unique task type called Room Overbookings:

To resync overbooking values to BW

Overbooking values can be resynced from PMS to Best Western CRS. This resync option can be found either:

  • Within Rezlynx PMS, select Distribution Hub and within the Connections menu select Resync

  • OR Within Distrubution Hub select Channels and within the Resyncronisation menu select Resyncronisation

To resync the overbooking values, follow the steps below:

  1. On the Resyncronication page, select your property, and then select the Best Western Channel.

  2. Set the From and To dates for the resync.

  3. Tick Overbooking option.

  4. Note: The overbooking option can only be seen when Best Western is selected as the channel in step 1.

  5. Click Start Resync.
