When building a rate plan you can make it accessible via a specific promotional code in the following ways:
Promo Code in Rezlynx for internal use only for bookings via phone or email.
Rate Access Code hides the rate plan until the unique code is entered online or used in a deep link.
Create a Rate Access Code
⚠️Important: The rate access code only hides the rate plan until the code is entered online. You may wish to set up a specific rate plan for any special rates to be hidden behind this rate access code.
To create a new rate access code, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Rate Access Codes, in either of the ways outlined below:
In Rezlynx PMS select Distribution Hub, then under DBM/RoomlynxAPI select Rate Access Codes.
In Distribution Hub select Configuration, then under Rates select Rate Access Codes.
Click Add.
Enter the information as required:
Property should be selected.
Active is ticked to activate the rate access code.
Code you wish to give to bookers to enter on the DBM to see the rate plan(s).
📌Note: Must be a unique code, with no spaces or special characters.
Description is for hotel use only.
Booking dates from and to are the dates when the rate is accessible online for booking.
Rate plans should be selected for the rate access to be applied to. You can select multiple rate plans if required.
Number of nights to be entered if you have a set length of stay different to the Rezlynx rate plan, or leave blank if you wish the length of stay to pull from the Rezlynx rate plan.
Reservation intervals from and to is when the guest can actually stay on site.
Days of week are ticked to show the days when the rate access code is available.
Click Add intervals to save the reservation intervals or stay dates.
Click Save.
📌Note: Once set, please clear the cache on your PC prior to testing the rate access code (otherwise it will not show as expected).
Once created, use the rate access codes screen to review the rate access codes or:
Copy a rate access code to other properties
Edit the rate access code, remembering to save any changes made.
Delete the rate access code however you may prefer to mark them as inactive.
Share the Rate Access Code with your Guests
You share the rate access code with your guests in whatever way works best for your property. You can build a specific Deep Link to take the guest straight to the offer. The code or link unlocks access for the visitor to book a room using the specific rate access code. Promotional codes work across all devices - desktop, mobile, and tablet versions of DBM.
Guests navigate to the DBM to book and enter the rate access code in one of the following ways:
1. Clicking on Do you have a promo code? in the top right of the booking screen.
The calendar displays full hotel availability for all dates, with promotional rate dates highlighted with special icons to indicate when the code offers savings.
All available rooms and rates are displayed in search results, but promotional rates are positioned at the top of the results, clearly highlighted to stand out from regular rates, and easy to identify as the special offer.
2. In the booking summary page, guests can add the Promo Code.
During the checkout process, in the summary page where visitors add their personal details, they have one more chance to add a rate access code. If it's a valid one, the system will show a green tick and give a link to go back to the search results with the promo code applied in order to see the new rates that the code has unlocked.
