To refund a payment gateway token on a checked-out booking, you can not post the refund to that booking as the room billing was closed when the item was checked out, however, you can refund the token on a checked-out booking and create an NRA to post the refund to the system in a few easy steps.
Refund a Token on a Checked-Out Booking
Locate the reservation.
Guarantee tab, Payment gateway, click Refund.
Check the amount, click Refund.
Creating and Using a Non-Resident Account (NRA)
Create an NRA
New Charge.
Select the appropriate analysis code that reflects the type of refund being processed.
Enter the refund amount as a negative value.
Click Post And Close.
Add Payment
Select Manual Payment, then select the pay type.
Enter the refund amount as a negative value.
Click Add Payment.
After entering the refund and payment, the bill should balance to zero and the NRA can be checked out.
