Guestline Rezlynx: Complete an early check out

You can complete an early check out, with information on how to complete a refund if needed and generate a bill for the guest with this article.

Navigate to Room Billing (Rezlynx, Guest Journey, Billing, Room Billing), and select the room/reservation to amend from the drop-down menu.


To complete an early check out with no refund to the guest, follow these steps:

  1. If on the day before the check-out date, click the Auto Poster button - this adds that days postings (including any upsells).

    • Alternatively, if the guest has other nights/charges to be added, then add this manually by selecting New Charge.

  2. Once the bill is at Zero, click Check Out.

  3. The system will warn of the early check out, please:

    1. Choose a Housekeeping Status

    2. Tick Override

    3. Select Confirm to complete the check out.



To complete an early check out with a refund to the guest, follow these steps:

⚠️Important: Depending on how the money was taken/pay type, will determine how you refund the money back.

Payment Gateway

  1. Click on the Booking Reference at the bottom left

  2. Within the reservation navigate to Guarantee Tab, then click Refund next to the token. Enter the amount to be returned, then click Refund. This refunds the guests card.

  3. Select 3 dot menu, and select Room Billing.

  4. Within the room billing, click Add Payment. Select the Pay Type and enter Amount with a minus in front to refund the value, and click Add Payment.

  5. Once the bill is at Zero, click Check Out.

  6. The system will warn of the early check out, please:

    1. Choose a Housekeeping Status.

    2. Select Confirm to complete the check out.

    3. Tick Override.

Integrated Card Machine

  1. If the payment was taken upon arrival via room billing, click Refund.

  2. Select the card machine. Enter the amount to be refunded, then click Refund.

  3. Once the bill is at Zero, click Check Out.

  4. The system will warn of the early check out, please:

    1. Choose a Housekeeping Status.

    2. Select Confirm to complete the check out.

    3. Tick Override

⚠️Important: If you do not wish to re-sell the room for that night then you MUST block that space by adding a room maintenance issue.
