Add or remove deposits on a reservation
Add or remove deposits on a Rezlynx reservation, either manually or via a payment interface.
📌Note: Once a reservation has been saved, a Deposit can be added to the Reservation. And once a deposit has been saved, a Refund can be actioned on the deposit.
To manually add a deposit to a reservation
To manually add a deposit to a reservation, follow the steps below:
Within the reservation, click the 3 dot menu in the bottom right , and select Deposits.
Click Add Deposit. Enter the details:

🤓Tip: If the required pay type is not listed, tick Show Suppressed Pay Types.

Click Save, and the deposit is now added to the reservation. Click Receipt drop-down against the deposit to view, print or email a receipt.
Click X in to the top right of the deposits screen, to close.
You should see the deposit value showing within Deposit received value on the front of the reservation:
To add any further deposits, repeat the above steps.
To manually remove a deposit from a reservation
To manually remove a deposit from a reservation, follow the steps below:
Within the reservation, click the 3 dot menu in the bottom right , and select Deposits.
Click Refund beside the deposit to be refunded. Enter the details:
Payment type
🤓Tip: If the required pay type is not listed, tick Show Suppressed Pay Types.

Click Refund, and the deposit is now removed from the reservation and refunded within the system. Click Receipt drop-down against the Refunded value to view, print or email a receipt.
Click X in to the top right of the deposits screen, to close.
You should see the deposit value showing within Deposit received value on the front of the reservation
⚠️ Important: Please note that refunding the deposit from Rezlynx will only remove it from the PMS. You will still need to process the actual refund.
Adding a Deposit using a Payment Interface
Rezlynx can interface with Third Party Credit Card Payment Interfaces. These interfaces securely store the credit card details and provide the property with a token to use in place of the credit card number.
Once payment has been taken using an interface, it will automatically add to the reservation.
Removing a Deposit using a Payment Interface
Most payment interfaces will allow you to cancel a payment order, however will need to be refunded if the order has gone through.
It is advisable to check any refunds via the Payment Interface website to ensure that any deposit refunded in Rezlynx has also been refunded on the Online Payment Interface to the customers account.
