Advanced C&B Enquiries can be created to handle initial event enquiries. The enquiries can be located at any time for review, and can be converted to an event booking or cancelled as required.
Event enquiries can be created via Search/Create enquiry or via the Events diary - both options are detailed in this article.
When an enquiry is created, a unique reference number is generated. Quotes can be added for multiple event options, although only one can be converted per enquiry. Custom attributes can be added to enquiries to add additional information as required.
Create an enquiry via Search/Create Enquiry
To create an enquiry via Search/Create enquiry, follow the steps below:
Within Rezlynx, select Advanced C&B, then within the Events menu, select Search/Create Enquiry.
Click Create.
Enter the enquiry information, including:
Contact information
Event name
Event type
Market segment
Start and End date of the event
Forecast Revenue figures
Media Source
Click Add Quote, and you will be required to complete the following information:
Enter the enquiry function information as required, including:
Function type
Number of delegates
Start and end date
Enter the enquiry function room information as required, including:
Rate plan
Layout
📌Notes: By clicking on to the tab at the top, specific notes can be entered that will copy across into the event notes once converted. The 'enquiry notes' field will not copy across onto the Event.
Click Add to add the quote to the enquiry. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all quotes have been added.
Select Save in the bottom right of the enquiry. Additional information can then be added:
Checklist: By using the button in the bottom right corner, an event checklist can be added to the enquiry that will copy onto the event once converted.
Print: By selecting this button in the bottom right corner the user is able to email an enquiry confirmation to the contact.
At the very bottom of the page, you can add a chase date if required, this will be searchable within the enquiries reporting.
Create an enquiry via the events diary
⚠️Important: This functionality will need to be enabled in the Advanced C&B Ini Settings within Enquiries and then select Allow bookings from the diary.
To create an enquiry via the event diary, follow the steps below:
Within Rezlynx, select Advanced C&B, then within the Events menu, select Diary.
Within the diary, select the cell for the room and date of the enquiry and click Create Enquiry Booking.
Enter the enquiry function information as required, including:
Function type
Number of delegates
Start and end date
Enter the enquiry function room information as required, including:
Rate plan
Layout
Click Add.
Enter the enquiry information, including:
Contact information
Event name
Event type
Market segment
Start and End date of the event
Forecast Revenue figures
Media Source
Click Save, and then additional information can be added:
Add quote: A Second Option can be added to the enquiry if the contact has multiple dates in mind.

Troubleshooting
Quotes: Quotes can be added for multiple event options, although only one can be converted per enquiry.
Notes: If the enquiry is converted, any notes entered will be converted to the event except enquiry notes.
Event template: You cannot attach an event template to an enquiry, or onto it post-conversion.
Check lists: Check lists for enquiries will not feed to the checklist report until it is converted. Once the enquiry is converted it will then show on the event check list.
