Use this guide to update a PED (pin entry device) when configuration changes, such as a new passcode, have been sent from the Adyen Portal. Terminals only pull new settings when they connect to the platform, which usually happens every three hours.
If you need the changes to apply immediately, you can run a manual software update on the PED.
Run a manual configuration and software update
Use these steps to fetch the latest configuration without waiting for the scheduled connection:
Select Settings on the PED.
Select Configuration.
Enter your current passcode.
Select Update, as shown in the image below:
The terminal downloads the latest configuration. When the update completes, any new settings — including the updated passcode — will be active.
