LOS rules are used when you wish to apply a discount to either a whole stay or create a free night offer. These will display on the DBM with the original price crossed out above the new total giving the guest a clear indication they are getting a discounted rate.
There are two different discount types:
Whole stay discount - will apply a discount to the whole stay amount. For example, book two or more nights and get 25% off.
Free nights - will give the guest a free night stay for example a 3 for 2 offer.
Create a whole stay LOS rule
To create a whole stay LOS rule on the Direct Booking Manager, follow the steps below:
Navigate to LOS Rules, in either of the ways outlined below:
In Rezlynx PMS select Distribution Hub, then under DBM/RoomlynxAPI select LOS rules.
In Distribution Hub select Configuration, then under Rates select LOS rules.
Click Add.
Select Property, then Rate Plan code, and select Discount Type as Whole Stay Discounts.
Enter From and To - this is the number of nights the guest must book or book between for this discount to apply.
🤓Tip: The lowest number of nights configuration will always be 2.
Select the Adjustment Type as either: percentage, amount, or rate rate and add the Amount.
Click Save.

Create a free nights LOS rule
To create a free nights LOS rule on the Direct Booking Manager, follow the steps below:
Navigate to LOS Rules, in either of the ways outlined below:
In Rezlynx PMS select Distribution Hub, then under DBM/RoomlynxAPI select LOS rules.
In Distribution Hub select Configuration, then under Rates select LOS rules.
Click Add.
Select Property, then Rate Plan code, and select Discount Type as Free Nights.
Select the required Free Night Type.
Tick Repeat Pattern if you wish for the discount to repeat if the guest books more nights.
For example: if you are setting a 3 for 2 offers if that guest were to select 6 nights then they would get 2 nights free and so on in a repeated pattern.
Click Save.
Example: 3 for 2 offer (no repeat)
