Several OTA's send through bookings either Nett of Commission or Nett of Tax, sometimes both. It is possible within Distribution Hub Interface Settings to 'uplift' the reservation amount by the missing percentage so that the reservation is delivered to Rezlynx at gross.

⚠️Important: For Expedia bookings, if you require the system to add tax, it is essential that all Expedia rates are set to exclude tax—this applies to Expedia Collect bookings. A mix of tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive rates, with commission uplifts enabled will cause discrepancies and it will not function as expected. This setting only applies to Expedia Collect bookings, and not Hotel Collect Bookings from Expedia (Hotel Collect is when the customer pays directly at the hotel).

To enable commission uplifts for reservations within Distribution Hub, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Connection Settings in either of the following ways:

  2. Rezlynx Menu, Distribution Hub, Connections, then select Connection Settings

  3. Distribution Hub, Channels, Connections, then select Connection Settings

  4. From the drop down menu Choose property to edit and Choose connection for edit.

  5. Tick Add Tax To Reservation.

  6. Add the correct percentage amount to the Tax Amount field.

🤓Tip: The table at the end of this article may assist with this setting.

  7. Click Save.

Once saved, this will now add the amount back on to all reservations from this channel before pushing to Rezlynx.

The table below helps with the value to add to the Connection Settings:
