Rate plans can be created for:

In this article, we will be creating an Advanced Conference and Banqueting (C&B) Rate Plans which are built for use in the Diary for Advanced C&B or via Search/Create Event, and cannot currently be exposed to sell online.

Create Advanced C&B rate plans

Rate plans for Advanced C&B are made in three separate tabs within the rate plans section. All rates are organised into categories. We suggest keeping your rates simple, with clear descriptions and kept up-to-date to make sure your system is easy to use and navigate.

To create an Advanced C&B rate plan, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Advanced C&B, then from the Configuration menu select Rate Plans.

  2. Click New Rate Plan.

  3. On the Description tab, enter the information as required:

    • Rate Plan code with a maximum of 12 characters using _ for spaces.

    • Rate Plan Description is visible to the user and shows on the invoice and proforma.

    • Rate Plan Category to organise it into a category on the left hand side of the screen.

    • Market segment is not mandatory but can assist with reporting.

    • Notes can be added as required

  4. Click Save.

  5. Click on the Breakdown tab. Select Add and enter inclusive product information:

    • Analysis code is selected from the drop down.

    • Amount of this inclusive product

    • Description of the product

      • Note: The customer will not see this breakdown, only the total cost. The breakdown can be amended per event as required.

  6. Repeat until all inclusive products have been added.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Click on the Restrictions tab, to add any restrictions to the sale of this rate plan. Ticking the days of the week you want the package to be available.

  9. Click Save.

⚠️Important: Configuration that has been used on an event should not be deleted as it will cause errors within the system. Inactive selection should be used wherever the configuration is no longer needed.
