This priority setting is used when bookings come through online channels (if auto allocate is enabled), and also when using the Allocate Unallocate function manually.
How AA Priority Works
When setting AA Priority, it’s important to understand the order in which rooms are allocated. Rooms are assigned from the highest AA Priority number down to the lowest. Note that "0" is a valid level and will always be allocated last.
Example:
Room 101 = Priority 1
Room 102 = Priority 9
In this case, Room 102 would be allocated before Room 101.
Set AA Priority
To set or update AA priority, follow the steps below:
Navigate to System, Codes & Rules, Rooms.
There are two ways to update the AA Priority settings:
Edit All Rooms: Click the Edit All Rooms button to view all rooms in the database. You can update AA Priority for each room in the designated column. Click Save to complete the changes.
Edit Individual Rooms: Select a room from the menu on the left and update the AA Priority directly within Room Details.
Click Save to complete the changes.
Best Practice
It’s recommended to assign AA Priority by room type category (e.g., DBL, TWIN) rather than by individual room. This helps ensure consistent and logical room assignment.
Example Setup:
Room Number | AA Priority | Room Number | AA Priority |
101 (DBL) | 1 | 102 (TWIN) | 1 |
109 (DBL) | 2 | 104 (TWIN) | 2 |
110 (DBL) | 3 | 111 (TWIN) | 3 |
In this setup, if two reservations (one DBL, one TWIN) arrive at the same time, Rooms 110 and 111 would be allocated first, based on the AA Priority order.
⚠️ Important : If a reservation is allocated on the day of arrival, Rezlynx will prioritise rooms that are Vacant and Clean, overriding AA Priority.
